There is a limit on the Shared Instance version of Rockset. If you need to increase this limit, you’ll want to reach out to Shawn on our Eng/PM team (shawn@rockset.com).

@rahul could you elaborate a bit more on the motivation for creating multiple collections? For isolation purpose?

The collection and workspace limits are ‘soft’ limits designed to (a) protect users from run-away scripts and (b) keep the Rockset org within the boundaries of our stress tests. There are things we can do for customers who might want a larger number of smaller collections, as long as numbers stay ‘reasonable’. I’d be happy to discuss your needs with you.
